I Spy: Spring Faucets

Been seeing a lot of "spring" faucets.  I've always thought them to be a little "vegetable sink-y" but they are popping up as the main sink faucet in lots of kitchen decor.  Very industrial...

Perfect Skimmer

Madewell has the perfect spring flat: the Sidewalk Skimmer.  It's not a ballet slipper, as it has a pointy-er toe.  I ordered the stripe ones...can't wait for that brown UPS truck!

Perfect with my wardrobe: Jeans and a white (or gray) tee.

striped curtains

Still a fan of striped curtains.  I don't have many sets of curtains in my house, but i've been looking for some for my bedroom.  Here's a little inspiration of the graphic impact of bold stripes...

I'm pretty sure that the ones above are the West Elm shower curtain...not long enough for taller windows.

The ones above are from the blog, Reckless Glamour.  She painted them!  Seems like too much work and I imagine they're a little crunchy! They look pretty good, though.
I'm loving the ones above from Crate and Barrel.  They're relatively affordable and well made.  The only problem is that the color here is a bit off-- It's much more "off-white" than this photo.
I'll keep my eyes open....

So What Wednesday

Hi everyone...  I'm back for a little attitude adjustment.  What are you saying "so what" to this week?

SO WHAT? if...

  • I can't figure out what smells in my refrigerator.
  • I get totally nervous/stressed-out at "self check-out" lines.
  • Here in the Midwest we think 48 degrees in practically "shorts weather."
  • I'm pretty sure you should never try on a swimsuit in the spring.  (Only at the end of summer when you're a little less ghostly.)
  • I pretty much have mad skills when it comes to the crock pot.
  • My kids and I had an in-depth conversation on whether or not it's "illegal" for me to order myself a Happy Meal.

We really love all of your "SO WHAT's" that you send us...I should write a book...

Have a great week from in your back pocket

Kitchen Details: Brick Floors

You're aware of our fascination with brick...we especially love it in the kitchen.  Unexpected and a nice detail.  Although I do think it lends itself to warner climates, I putting it on my list for my "next house."
