Rugby Striped Bin

I bought a couple of these handy rugby striped bins at The Container Store last weekend.  Prices range from $9.99 to $14.99.   Don't know where they're going quite yet but love the stripes!

Tamra's Kitchen!

A friend of ours, (and faithful follower,)  Tamra, along with her husband and fellow designer Brett,  recently underwent a kitchen overhaul. I flipped out when I saw the finished product (partly from envy!)  It is amazing--classy, timeless comfortable, current, warm, hip, etc.  Here is a few photos of her journey.

Finished kitchen!

Now, her kitchen was cute before but really a bit too small for a family of 6.  They have four wonderful boys ages 19 through 6.

Before:

Tamra and baby Justin!

They blew out the back wall of their home...

The island is completely turned.  Good thinking.

We absolutely are dying over the cabinet to the counter (right),  and love all of the drawers instead of traditional cabinets.   Loving the wall of cabinetry around the refrigerator, too.  Now, these photos don't do it justice-I need a new camera, but it is spectacular!
Thanks Tamra and Brett for letting us share this amazing new space.

While we're on the subject: Mini Jars.

If you haven't seen the adorable spice jars at Anthropologie, then you're missing out.  I can think of so many uses for them.  Over at Dandee blog Danyelle used them as a small token of her appreciation for her friends and family who helped "hold down the fort" while she was out of town.

$10 at Anthro.  Cute.
Hope you're weekend is great....a tip to put in your back pocket.

Paint Dipped Baby Food Jars

Once again jordan at Oh Happy Day! shows us another easy inspiring project.  These dipped baby food jars make an adorable centerpiece or just an adorable decoration.  Perfect for a baby shower, or even easter brunch.

Step by step directions on Oh Happy Day.

I'm thinking about making some to hold the cute, mini wooden utensils we bought for my daughter's birthday...
Now ask my friends with babies to save me some jars...

Tell me about it...STUD.

Did anyone get the "Grease" reference?   O.K....totally in love with the basic, must have, Kate Spade "Gumdrop" stud earrings.  I bought a pair of opal studs last summer at the flea market and get compliments on them all of the time.  These are a great purchase at about $38.00 and will never turn your ear green!

There are so many other great studs around...including theses from Tory.
Put a new pair of studs in your back pocket.

SWW

Hope you're all having a great week...Any "So What's?" for you this week?  Here's what I'm thinking.

SO WHAT? if..

  • My son couldn't find his car keys this morning.  We looked everywhere until he realized that he was already warming his car up....(chip off the ol' block.)
  • My husband pretends he doesn't see the four new large gray color  swatches of paint on our kitchen wall.
  • When looking for a new recipe, if I don't know what an ingredient is, or how to pronounce it, it move right along...Uh,  Next.  (and I prefer as few ingredients as possible.)
  • I've been known to yell say "you're welcome!" in my pissy-est voice when someone doesn't thank me for letting them merge in front of me.
  • I was overly excited when the vending machine accidentally gave me 2 packs of Sour Patch kids at once.

Just a little attitude from in your back pocket.

Another Home Depot Find-Pendant Light

Found: A new brushed nickel dome pendant light from Home Depot-Home Decorator Collection.  On Sale for $99.97.  I saw it in the store and was impressed...although the price there was $119.  A great  look for a quick change-big impact project.
It's a "titch" smaller than the photos below, but same great look.

Cake in a Can

Jordan at Oh Happy Day made these adorable mini cakes out of a can.  She used directions from this article.  Perfect size and so cute.  Of course, I'd make it easier on myself and just front them as is...no layers.

I remember seeing this old article on Pinterest...
I think I'll give it a try...
