Gah, you can't just STEAL pictures from someones site!! Even if you say where they came from! That is crazy.

Anonymous-We are a small, non-sponsored blog who saw these cute kabobs and thought our readers would like the idea. We attempt to "give credit where credit is due" by citing and giving the link to the photos, in order to create traffic for them and their site, i.e. Karen in the Kitchen. We have never and will never join Pinterest in order to avoid improper credit.
We would happily remove this post but fear that Karen would then receive NO credit for these photos.
We had no intention except to show our readers some cute kabobs and have them check out a new blog.

Kris and Jen thank you for sharing this great idea....and thank you for letting us know about Karen in the Kitchen...without you I would never have been able to enjoy her many wonderful recipes...

Hi ladies. I found this link via pinterest and I happened to notice the comments. I looked at your blog and saw that you are rebloggers and do give credit sources for the images you use. The problem with this particular post is that you have provided all information and most of karens images. So there is no reason for anyone to go to Karen in the kitchen. A lot of people are repinning to your blog for this recipe. You mentioned not wanting to take the post down due to stopping traffic to Karen's blog. If really want to give her the traffic you should remove all but one image and remove the directions. That would send people to her site.

Thanks Michelle. We'll try that...

You probably want to link directly to the post in question on her blog, not just her blog in general. As it stands, I'm currently scrolling through her posts trying to figure out where this recipe is. Very frustrating.

It seems to me that the link takes a reader right to the kabobs. We have decided to remove this post because of all of the trouble it (and Pinterest) has caused. All in all, people have seemed to lose sight of what this really is....a cute looking dessert.
We also appreciate people who were looking out for all parties and used their Google name, as did "Michelle.

What's even more ridicules is that Karen in the Kitchen took the recipe from Lady Behind the Curtain...stop with the drama people and enjoy the recipe. I can find 1000 recipes on blogs, pinterest, etc that were taken from another source. That's what makes this nice and convenient, letting someone else do the leg work and find neat ideas for you!!!!

Kris and Jen,
I read the comment you left on my blog about my strawberry skewers. I do appreciate you for seeing a cute idea and wanting to share it.

I appreciate even more greatly, Michelle's suggestions! Thanks Michelle.

I get my ideas from many blogs and websites and try the recipes out, take my own pictures and post on my blog. I do always give credit and link to the original site. I understand that you all meant no harm and I appreciate that you wrote me to apologize. Meanwhile, I've been getting tons more traffic on my site and I appreciate it! I'm also a non-sponsored blog, that only started my blog at my friends' urging to share recipes.

I think you girls have a great site and I hope to catch your eye with one of my posts again soon!

Take care and happy blogging!

WOW I WAS going to pin this. But forget it. I think I will just remember what the picture looked like. I wonder how many people have been POed at other pins because of this issue. Not worth it.

I love pinterest, but I'm not a fan of repinning. i usually follow the link and pin from the original site to make sure it's legit.
As for Stealing this recipe, i would assume this is called "reblogging" and not stealing.
that would credit the original source.
Since the recipe isn't posted here, I pinned from "lady behind the curtain"
thanks to whomever posted the blog where I could find the recipe.

Well, regardless of where the recipe came from, I was thinking: Seems like you could make a pretty cool healthy-style one of these, with bananas (dipped in lemon to prevent browning), subbing for the shortcake? And it would still look good!

Thank you for the link. I think it's great that you give credit where credit is due, and both of your blogs are very nice. I hope you can keep doing what you're doing. Good luck. :)

Hello, I'm not very tech savvy. I don't really care where the recipe is from, but it is too cute and looks very tastey!! One problem though, I do not know how to get the recipe.... Thanks for the pin and the help!!

Wow, this world has become so politically correct it is sickening. Who cares if this picture is posted, I am sure everyone here has used a picture with out linking it, I know I have.
Anyways, Thank you for sharing, It is pretty obvious what to do, it is just angel food cake, strawberries and whipped cream, I do not think a recipe is necessary on something this simple.

At the top of tibia page there is a link to Karen's kitchen and a lot more step by step photos. And more recipes.she uses biscuits not angel food cake but that is a good idea

It's a recipe, people...not state secrets...and who cares where the recipe comes from? Does Karen in the Kithen
get paid somehow for sharing a recipe?

Wow. Who's really going to stop you from taking a picture AND might I add crediting it. Most people don't even do that. Its not illegal, its the internet. Who cares. If anything Karen should be stoked that someone else is directing more people to her site.
