Risky Booties

A couple of weeks ago, I saw these in the  Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog and thought they should be mine...

They are Frye (can't go wrong)  and I bought a pair of brown Frye flat boots last year at the sale that I absolutely love... but these were a little more risky for me. Would I actually where them?

I think I am gonna keep 'um, skinny jeans, leggings, dresses will all look great with these babies and hey, I just turned 40 am feeling brave.

( Except I just told Kris this and she says she's not sure about them for her because she says her long- legged daughter wears them and looks like an elf! Crap!)

Party Pots

My oldest daughter's birthday on Friday. I can't believe she is going to be double digits and I can't believe my 10 year old is taller than her teacher and her babysitter..(and wears bigger shoes!)

She wants an ice skating party which is awesome because it said it was 117 degrees in my car today!

 a little paper grass, and a "thanks for skating by" tag.

Turned out cute and fun to put together...

I must admit...I'm a big fan of party favors!

Hello friends...Just a quick So What Wednesday.

SO WHAT if...

• I can't help thinking "SHOUTY CAPITALS" as i wrote "so what" above.

• I can't decide if Bela Karolyi is totally awesome or totally scary.  Either way he's a little cray-cray.        

• My BBH thinks it's crazy that I don't ever use the cruise control when I'm driving.  Do any women?

• My college son and his roommates got a Savannah Cat.  It's like part domesticated cat/ part wild animal.  It's supposed to be a "gentle giant," but why are they illegal in some states? Lovely.

• I'm pretty sure jen was doin' the cabbage patch after she dropped kids off at their first day of school.
