Halloween Dinner...

Every year we have Chili on Halloween.  It's cold here, so we love something easy and warm.  Chris, at Celebrations at Home posted this Chili Bar a while back.  I'm sure you've seen it on Pinterest...

My kids love eating the chili and Fritos right out of the bag.  It's a perfect dinner for in between tick-or-treating rounds.. (My kids go out for "round two" after they dump candy at home...)
Thanks for idea, Chris!

Time Will Tell
Have a great Halloween!

P.S.  SO WHAT what if I might buy a couple of Wendy's chilis, add some beans, and play it off as my own....

Camera straps

Nothing new, but everybody still needs to own one...a super cute camera strap.  I was at "before" pictures for my daughter's homecoming dance and all of these moms had big ol' cameras with those ugly black straps. There is no need to be victim of an ugly strap. Cute straps  are overflowing on Etsy, and make great gifts.  They range from about $14 for a strap "cover" to about $40.

How do you choose?

Change up...

Slipcovers STILL rock. Pillows ALWAYS rock.  Just some Monday inspiration from Sherry Hart of Design Indulgence.  Love how she goes from Spring/Summer...

To Fall/Winter...

Happy Monday...have you bought your candy yet?

In Need Of: Crossbody Bag

I'm in need of a new crossbody bag.  Now I must warn you,  this new bag will not be treated very well.  It will be used at places where hands need to be free and there's nowhere to set your handbag down, i.e., sporting events, tailgates, dirty bleachers, flea markets, etc.
There are a few requirements:
-not too large-only carrying wallet and lip gloss.
-no chain straps
-not too fancy
-under $200 (ish)
-a neutral color...
-preferably available at Nordstrom...gotta gift card burning a hole in my back pocket.
Jen was at Nordstrom yesterday and said there is a mega cross-body section.  Too many to choose from.
There's the Marc Jacobs nylon...

The basic Kate spade, leather and patent...

Funkier Patricia Nash...(this one might be too matchy- matchy with my boots.)
Patricia Nash again...too Pocahontas?

 Cole Haan Cantene bag...
or maybe just different than I was originally thinking...

Too many for my mind.  Which do you like? ...a little help please...

Style at Home

I'm gonna carve out a little space for a loveseat and a couple of chairs. Lots of natural light. Perfect for morning coffee...
