Pirate Parrrty

My little guy is turning 4 and he had a Pirate Party last weekend! It was so fun and the ideas abound...
Here are some inspiration photos I used  for the cupcakes...
Now mine were not nearly as cute, but hey keepin' it real...
the bandanas were fondant...never used it before but it was kinda fun
then it was all kinds of party supplies!
( I need an Oriental Trading Company and a Target credit card:)
Goodie bags...
and the girls at RV parties helped me out with the water bottle design
and included these for me!! So nice!
and  we  had fun activities like a sand treasure hunt and a water slide...
my girls helped me hide the loot, (gold coins, necklaces, and jewels)
and the boys loved it
Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Wow, he was awesome. Only the top two can go to London, but coming in third, at 18, in your first Olympic Trials, swimming against 30 year old olympic vetrans and medalists,
is something to be so proud of. I know his family is proud of him!!
Now on to the 200 tomorrow! Oh, we want to go to Rio more than London anyway:)

Sending Love and Luck

Kris is still in Omaha and still breathing. She didn't pass out, and I think she even watched instead of covering her eyes...
I am so proud of her and thank you to husband for keeping her calm. She says it's crazy fun there...
Now on to the man of the hour...
Kev swam great TWICE yesterday in the prelims and semis and made it to the FINALS!
YES, THE FINALS of the US OLYMPIC TRIALS in the 100 Breast.
Out of 144 swimmers that made it to the trials he made it to the top 8 and is seeded 6th.
He rocks and to say his whole family is proud is an understatement.
Good Luck Kevin and we love you!
It is suppossed to be on NBC tonight (they left us hanging last night, grrrr) so watch, and cheer, and send the good luck from the readers of in your back pocket...

Pillow Cheat Sheet

My Big Bad Husband gets irritated with the pillows on our bed.  If it were up to him, he'd just have the pillows he lays his head on., circa college/bachelor days. Me, on the other hand...looove them! I change the covers all of the time.  Here's a little cheat sheet from from Marissa Waddell Interiors.

I'm a big fan of the Euro sham-but mostly because I have the world's biggest bed and it looks "skimpy" with only a couple standard pillows....
The only problem with lots of pillows is the mess they make when you want to get in the bed!
