Dining room pillows?

I have white slip covered Parsons chairs at the head of my dining room table.  I always keep a pillow on them to add an extra pattern in  a pretty basic room.  I change it all of the time...easy way to decorate for the seasons.... Here's the idea...

above use of slipcovers and seasonal pillows from classic casual  home.

Reminder: Get your Ikea throw...

Last year I picked up Ikea's Eivor throw.  They've brought them back again this year. It's only $19.99 and adds so much graphic interest.  Jen has one too.  The quality is actually pretty good, and my kids always use it...and NEVER re-fold it...

Blondes Have More Yum

I saw this recipe in Real Simple Family, I love blonde brownies...
Here's the goods...
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted plus more for the pan
2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, spooned and leveled
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1. Heat oven to 350. Butter an 8 inch square baking pan. Line the pan with a piece of parchment paper, leaving an overhang on 2 sides; butter the parchment
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together the butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Add the flour mixture and mix until just combined (do not over mix) Fold in any mix-ins, if desired
4. Spread the batter in the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool completely in the pan. Holding the paper overhang, lift out the blondies.Cut into 16 squares.
Mix in suggestions:
16 miniature peanut butter cups
3/4 cup each semisweet chocolate chips and chopped pecans
1 cup raspberries and 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

Looks good right?I had all the ingredients in my "baking"cabinet and my fridge so why not!

*This next picture if for you freaky food bloggers out there to show you I actually made the brownies and didn't "steal" your pictures...oh sorry, having a moment...

the parchment paper is ingenious really, comes out like a dream
I made mine with chocolate chips though they were calling for nuts, or the peanut butter cups would have been soooo good but sadly we have nut allergies here...
Super easy and super yum...
Put a yummy blondie in your back pocket...
